Students are required to complete 1 current event assignment per month. Due dates will be announced and posted on the activity calendar. I want this assignment to be enjoyable so choose articles that interest you. Below is a list of websites that may provide a different perspective of news and events. You can download the report worksheet needed to complete these assignments at the bottom of the page. Listed below are a few resources where articles can be found.

If you have a doubt about whether an article is acceptable or not SHOW IT TO ME AHEAD OF TIME! If you complete a current events assignment on a topic that is NOT acceptable you will not receive credit.

- Government: Elections, laws, court decisions, etc.
- Technology: New inventions, Innovative ways to better our lives, etc.
- Cooperation & Conflict: Foreign policy, trade agreements and disputes, wars, etc.
- Resources: Natural or human resource issues between governments or groups.
- History/Archeology: New discoveries or theories about the past (fossil finds, etc.)
